Full Mechanical Design and Installation for 36-Room Hotel in Romford
WHPS Mechanical Ltd was appointed to deliver the complete Design and Build mechanical installation for a newly constructed 36-room hotel in Romford, London. Completed in 2021, the project required precise coordination of all core building services, including heating, plumbing, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) — ensuring comfort, energy efficiency, and system reliability for long-term operation.
Scope of Works
- Mechanical Design: Detailed design using BIM methodology with Revit and Magicad
- Drainage: Above ground drainage system installed with Polypipe PVC and Geberit HDPE
- Plumbing: Hot and cold water distribution using Geberit Mapress and Buteline piping
- Sanitary Ware: Full installation across all hotel rooms and common areas
- Heating: Hamworthy commercial boilers with Ambiente underfloor heating (UFH)
- Gas Installation: GFS gas system integration
- Ventilation: Supplied and installed Nuaire ventilation systems for fresh air flow and humidity control
- Air Conditioning: Mitsubishi Electric systems for efficient cooling and climate control
- Testing & Commissioning: Complete system verification for safety, performance, and regulation compliance
