WHPS Mechanical Ltd was appointed to complete the full Design and Build mechanical installation for a large-scale conversion project in Romford, London. The scheme transformed a commercial office building into 86 self-contained luxury flats, requiring the integration of comprehensive mechanical systems including heating, plumbing, ventilation, and life safety infrastructure.
Scope of Works
- Design: Mechanical design executed using CAD and Hevacomp
- Drainage: Above ground drainage system installed with Polypipe PVC
- Plumbing: Hot and cold water systems using Geberit Mapress and Durapipe
- Sanitary Ware: Installed across all flats using Grohe and Pura Bathrooms fixtures
- Heating: Centralised plant with Evinox Heat Interface Units (HIUs) and Vogel & Noot radiators
- Gas Installation: Commercial-grade installation using Geberit Gas Mapress
- Ventilation: Nuaire System 3 MEV (Mechanical Extract Ventilation) for continuous air circulation
- Dry Riser: Installation for fire safety in accordance with building regulations
- Testing & Commissioning: Full system balancing, verification, and compliance certification
