Full Mechanical Design & Build for Residential Conversion in Woodside Park
WHPS Mechanical Ltd was appointed to deliver the full Design and Build mechanical installation for a commercial-to-residential conversion in Woodside Park, London. The project involved transforming a former office building into 21 modern self-contained flats, with a focus on comfort, energy efficiency, and building safety. The work was completed in 2020.
Scope of Works
- Design: Full mechanical design using BIM, Revit, and Magicad tools for accuracy and coordination
- Drainage: Above ground drainage systems using Polypipe PVC
- Plumbing: Hot and cold water systems throughout, installed using Buteline piping
- Hot Water: Joule Cyclone Air cylinders for high-efficiency domestic hot water supply
- Sanitary Ware: Complete installation for all residential units
- Ventilation: Nuaire System 4 MVHR for controlled mechanical ventilation and heat recovery
- Fire Protection: Installation of a compliant fire sprinkler system for resident safety
- Testing & Commissioning: Thorough system checks and certification to ensure operational excellence
